Welcome to Arts and Crafts In Portugal .

I am very fortunate to be able to make and create in a lovely area of Central Portugal, close to the picturesque town of Gois. When I wake up and look out of my window, the beautiful view of nature is a great inspiration, and on most days, after a walk in the woods, I can be found working away on some art or craft activity.
The well known saying β€œvariety is the spice of life” suits me down to the ground. One day I might be hand stitching a leather bag, and another I could be making jewellery, hand painting furniture, mosaicking a wall, making greetings cards, lino printing, or just playing around with materials and seeing what happens.
If you want to see what I get up to, or are looking for some ideas, then please follow me on My Crafty Blog.
I am very excited at the moment, as I am converting the upstairs of my house into a workshop. It will make my crafting much easier, and it also means that from the Summer of 2013 I will be able to start running a variety of workshops/courses.
You can watch how the work is progressing by taking a look at http://portugalholidayguide.wordpress.com , where I will be posting updates, as well as writing about this lovely area.
So if you would like to try a new craft or two and visit this unspoilt area of Portugal, you will find more information about what course are available, on the Workshop page.
On the Gallery page I will be posting photos of some of the work I have done, so please take a look.

If you have any questions, or would like more information about anything on this site , then I would love to hear from you. You will find my details on the Contact me page .

    • I decided no time like the present , and so I have sorted out the gallery a bit better , and will be adding to it regularly. I was reading about your time management , and am going to try being a bit more focused. I have been finding that the more freedom I have time wise the less I do Look froward to readin about your nice trip ….

      • I look forward to looking through the gallery soon. I’m trying to be more focused too, especially since my classes start up again next week. It’s interesting your comment about the more freedom you have with time, the less you do. I am finding that to be true for me too. I had such high hopes for these four weeks of break, but I didn’t get done half of what I had hoped. On the other hand, I have to consider that maybe, possibly, I needed a bit of a break. I will try to focus for the next few days though. Wishing you good luck at doing the same. But hey, you sorted your gallery a bit, so progress is being made. BTW, next week, I hope to get back to some organiational posts again. πŸ™‚

  3. darn, forgot my z was broken and that i have to add it manually, but I’m sure you understood that word above. πŸ˜‰
